Chike Ufombah, Esq. began his academic career in Nigeria where he obtained an Associate Diploma in Mass Communication and subsequently went to Australia for further studies. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Western Sydney School of Business in New South Wales, Australia. He later went to the University of Western Sydney School of Law and earned his law degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2002. In 2002, he left Australia for the United States for a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree program in Golden Gate University School of Law, San Francisco, California. In 2004, he earned his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree from Golden Gate University School of Law.
Mr. Ufombah worked at Daniberg Chambers in Sydney, Australia in the areas of Asylum and Refuge law, skilled immigration to Australia, and family-based immigration. Mr. Ufombah worked in the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California where he provided clerical support to the Labor Commissioner’s attorneys in the areas of employment and labor laws litigation and policy enforcement. His commitment and dedication to public service or public interest areas of the law began in High School when he lived with and provided assistance/support to the blind. He participated in outreach programs for better or improved educational facilities for the blind. He also interned at the Macquarie Legal Center, Merrylands, New South Wales, Australia conducting legal research in the areas of immigration law. He is currently enrolled as a pro bono immigration attorney at the immigration clinic of the Volunteer Legal Services Corporation of the Alameda County Bar Association. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association and San Francisco Bar Association. He is licensed in New York
