Mr. Alin D. Cintean is a former Sacramento County prosecutor who is passionate about defending clients’ rights in State and Federal courts throughut Northern California. He is a graduate of the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he earned his JD degree as well as a Certificate of Advocacy. The Certificate of Advocacy is awarded to future lawyers who completed a thorough program of course work and practice focusing on law practice in the courtroom. He earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento.
Mr. Cintean worked with the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office for a total of seven years. As Deputy District Attorney, he prosecuted numerous misdemeanor and felony cases. As part of the Felony Jury Trial Team, Mr. Cintean successfully prosecuted, to jury trial, several serious and violent "strike" cases. During his tenure in the Superior Court Review unit, Mr. Cintean handled plea negotiations in hundreds of felony cases, including but not limited to the following: theft, felony DUI, drug possession, drug sales, arson, assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder.
As a Sacramento and San Francosco Bay Area defense attorney, Alin D. Cintean represents his clients with a high degree of competence. His good reputation as a fair and aggressive attorney allows him to bring many cases to a favorable resolution prior to jury trial. When cases do go to trial, Mr. Cintean vigorously represents his clients' interests while building a strong rapport with the jury. Having tried numerous cases on both sides of the courtroom Mr. Cintean is quite comfortable in his role as a defense attorney, presenting cases before juries. Knowing how the prosecutor has or should have prepared the case often gives Mr. Cintean an advantage and helps him be an effective defense lawyer.
