Frank Hobbs is a seasoned attorney, who joined Rutter Hobbs & Davidoff, only two years after the firm was founded in 1973 by Marshall Rutter. Frank focuses on the resolution of disputes involving business and real estate. He has litigated and tried many lawsuits to judges and juries, in state and federal courts and in a broad range of matters. His many years as Managing Director of Rutter Hobbs & Davidoff as well as his guidance and operation of non-law related business have given him practical and hands on experience in dealing with the sometimes troubling issues facing business people. In his law practice, Frank has considerable experience in disputes involving contract law; corporate and partnership disputes; fraud and unfair competition; construction defects and real estate sales; leasing, finance, title and boundary matters; environmental issues; employment matters; will and trust disputes; and professional negligence. Frank has appeared before appellate tribunals ranging from the California Court of Appeals to the United States Supreme Court. Frank has for several years been selected as a Business Litigation Super Lawyer. The annual Southern California Super Lawyers rankings are issued by Law & Politics and the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine. Frank has for nearly 20 years held an 'AV' rating by Martindale-Hubbell. With the goal of avoiding expensive and time-consuming court actions, Frank is experienced in providing effective arbitration, mediation, conciliation and other alternative dispute resolution. Frank is committed to understanding the relevant facets of his clients' businesses and strives to identify opportunities or threats that would affect their overall goals and objectives. His comprehensive approach, life and business experience, commitment and legal acumen make him a service provider who performs rather than just practices. Frank volunteers as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Neutral for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Frank is a member of the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County, Beverly Hills, Century City and American Bar Associations (Real Estate, Litigation and Law Practice Management Sections) and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. He is a Charter Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary representing less than 1% of American lawyers whose purpose include promoting superior advocacy and ethical standards in the practice of law. He graduated from Claremont McKenna College (B.A. 1974) and the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law (J.D. 1977). He is admitted to practice State and Federal Courts in California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
