Brian Kim

Brian Kim joined Minami Tamaki LLP on May 1, 2006 as an Employment Law Associate. Mr. Kim practices civil litigation with an emphasis on employment litigation. Mr. Kim presents employees, including federal and other public employees, in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and wage and hour claims. His employment practice includes actions in state and federal courts. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Harvard University in 1996 and his Juris Doctor degree in 2001 from the University of Southern California Law School, where he was an editor of the Southern California Law Review. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001, and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts in the Northern and Central Districts of California. Before joining Minami Tamaki LLP, he worked at the firm as a contract attorney from 2005 to 2006. Mr. Kim previously practiced civil litigation as an associate at law firms in San Jose and San Francisco specializing in commercial litigation and management-side labor and employment law. Mr. Kim serves on the Education Committee of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area and is on the Board of Directors for the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California. He also volunteers regularly as a consulting attorney for the Asian Law Caucus Employment and Labor Law Clinic and the Legal Aid Society-Employment Law Center Workers' Rights Clinic.
