Pamela S. Freeman has practiced family law for over twenty years.  She is an experienced collaborative attorney, mediator, litigator, parent coordinator, guardian ad litem and special master for discovery.

Pamela has extensive experience as a collaborative professional and she is at the forefront in the practice of collaborative law.  Collaborative practice is where the parties and their attorneys work together toward a consensual resolution without court involvement.  Pamela is actively involved in the collaborative community and in the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council.  She has coordinated training and trained professionals about Collaborative Practice and the collaborative law process.  She has extensive experience with mediation, both acting as a neutral and advising individuals engaged in mediation.  Pamela also has substantial experience in court and trial experience  Pamela is regularly appointed by the Court as a Guardian ad litem, determining whether to exercise or waive a child’s therapy privilege; acting on behalf of minors or incompetent adults; and, investigating difficult and complicated issues involving custody, parenting schedules, domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse and/or molestation.  Pamela is also regularly appointed by the Court as Special Master of Discovery, resolving and determining often contentious and complicated discovery issues.  Additionally, Pamela works as a parent coordinator, arbitrator and case evaluator in divorce and family law matter.  For many years, Pamela has worked with Senior Partners for Justice and Volunteer Lawyers Project handling some of their more complex cases through to trial.
