License Advocates Law Group LLP
I am a founding partner in License Advocates Law Group LLP. Before forming License Advocates Law Group with Mike Claessens and Christine McCall, my colleagues of more than thirty years in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, I served as a Deputy and Assistant City Attorney, prosecuting criminal cases in jury trials, and defending the City, its officers and employees in hundreds of civil lawsuits, most involving civil rights, employment discrimination and other labor and employee rights issues. I served as a manager and as a senior trial counsel.
For more than ten years, I also served as a labor union officer, representing individual workers against management efforts to terminate or suspend, investigating management accusations, and presenting employee defenses before arbitrators, hearing officers and other fact-finders.
I have a background in computer technology as it relates to law practice. I am personally committed to developing advanced computer-based processes and procedures for our clients’ cases that enhance our defense capabilities while we keep our clients’ costs down.
