In his real estate practice, Chris has represented buyers and sellers, landlords and tenants, borrowers and lenders with regard to both residential and commercial real estate transactions. 
 
Chris also represents institutional real estate investors and companies holding real estate in a broad array of corporate and tax structured real estate transactions throughout the country. He is an expert in limited liability company structuring and sales and acquisitions of membership interests in limited liability companies holding real estate. Chris’ clients have included real estate investment companies and Section 1031 tax free exchange purchasers in securitized lending transactions subject to triple-net bond leases with investment grade tenants.
 
In his business law practice, Chris represents privately held businesses in all facets of business law matters, including entity choice and formation, corporate governance issues, ownership structure and issues, secured lending, and the purchase and sale of businesses.

  • Successfully closed client’s acquisition of a $62.7 million portfolio of 20 leasehold properties leased to CVS/Caremark affiliates in 13 different states.
 
  • Successfully closed client’s disposition to multiple sellers of a $49.6 million portfolio of 25 leasehold properties leased to CVS/Caremark affiliates in 16 different states.
 
  • Successfully closed client’s acquisition of $28 million in properties leased to Stop & Shop, Walgreens and various other tenants from multiple sellers in New England.
 
  • Successfully closed several acquisitions of properties leased to Walgreens and concurrent Credit Tenant Lease (CTL) Financing.
 
  • Successfully closed client’s acquisition of $9.3 million in properties leased to Chick Fil’ A, Walgreens, Chipolte Grill and various other tenants from multiple sellers in 3 different states.
 
  • Successfully closed client’s acquisition of a $23.2 million industrial facility in Michigan and subsequent securitized financing.
 
  • Successfully closed client’s acquisition of a $52.9 million portfolio of 13 properties leased to CVS/Caremark affiliates in 5 different states.
 
  • Successfully closed client’s ground lease of property to CVS/Caremark in MA.
 
  • Drafted, negotiated and managed lease agreements for client’s portfolio of office buildings in Boston, MA.
 
 
Prior Experience:
 
Prior to founding the Law Offices of Christopher R. DeAgazio, P.C. in 2004, Chris was an attorney at Ruberto, Israel & Weiner, P.C. and Perkins, Smith & Cohen, LLP (now Burns & Levinson LLP), both located in Boston, MA, where he was members of both the Corporate and Real Estate Departments, and advised both private corporations and individuals in a broad array of matters, including corporate formation and structuring, mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate investments and dispositions, secured lending, real estate foreclosure, and low-income housing tax credit syndication.
