Alexandra Leichter

ALEXANDRA LEICHTER is a Certified Family Law Specialist*, and a Certified Family Law Arbitrator**. She has over 34 years family law trial experience, litigating and negotiating thousands of complex property and support issues and high conflict custody cases; and she has extensive expertise as an arbitrator, mediator, and adjudicator of family law cases. She was invited to serve as one of the select members of the “dual mediation panel” of the Los Angeles family law court, where she mediated some of the most complex and litigious cases on the court’s docket. Ms. Leichter received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from UCLA in 1969, and a Juris Doctor degree in 1972 from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. She was named a Southern California Super Lawyer (2005, 2006, 2007) and listed as one of the Top 50 Female Southern California Super Lawyers (2006). She is also a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Leichter is a frequent lecturer and author of articles on numerous subjects ranging from family law practice & procedure, child custody litigation, differences between the various private adjudication methods, validity of pre-marital agreements, religious issues affecting family law, and other family law-related issues. As a result of the extensive family law expertise garnered over the last three decades, Ms. Leichter is uniquely well-suited as a family law consultant, case evaluator, and as a settlement conference mediator. Her decisions as a private judge, arbitrator, or referee are well-reasoned, prompt, and judicious.
