Charles Feder
Charles E. Feder, LLC
In the last 20 years or so, my work has been primarily in commercial real estate and business transactions, including purchase, sale, finance and development of real estate projects, large and small, ranging from multifamily apartment complexes to single-family subdivisions to office and retail projects. Often these activities led to my assisting clients in forming their business entities and in purchasing on-going businesses.
In response to recent changes in the economy, a growing part of my practice has been devoted to the increased activity among investors and developers who are beginning to take advantage of the availability of investment opportunities, such as the acquisition of distressed properties (either pre-foreclosure and post-foreclosure), the purchase of notes and mortgages or the restructuring of debts with existing lenders.
Over the years I have had the privilege of representing individuals, businesses, developers, lenders, nonprofit corporations and government agencies in various capacities, including attorney, board member, general counsel, corporate secretary, advisor, consultant and advocate.
I have also had numerous occasions to interact with elected and appointed government officials, corporate officers and directors, commissions, business people, academics and community organizations. According to the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Rating, my professional colleagues have awarded me an AV rating (highest ability and integrity).
