Wayne Cohen
Cohen Injury Law Group
Few lawyer have credentials that parallel Wayne’s. He has appeared on ABC, NBC, CBS, the Today Show, Good Morning America, the Washington Post, CNN, the Huffington Post, TMZ, the Boston Globe, USA Today, and more. He has held teaching appointments for more than two decades, and has taught at the Pepperdine Caruso School of Law. More than any other trait, Wayne attributes his success to what he calls a “relentless passion to fight for the rights of seriously injured victims.” This is no surprise, as Wayne was an amateur boxer throughout high school, college, and law school. He loves to joke, “I wasn’t necessarily the best boxer, but I never, ever quit. If you knock me down 10 times, I promise you I’ll get back up eleven times.” It is this perspective that has won him national accolades, and perhaps why the Wall Street Journal, in a feature article about Wayne, called him “aggressive,” and “brash” —— two traits which Wayne embraces when advocating for his clients.
One way that Mr. Cohen has continued with his passion for education and gaining new knowledge is by teaching classes at The George Washington University Law School since 1993. He has also been:
- President of the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington D.C.
- Board of Governor of the TLA-DC
- Member of the Association of Trial Lawyers
- Chair of the the Litigation Section of the District of Columbia Bar Association
- Chair of the Injury to Persons and Property Section of the D.C. Bar
- On a 2 year appointment to the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland, Peer Review Committee
Wayne R. Cohen completed graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, cum laude.
