Lisa Herrick is a partner at Varghese Summersett, where she specializes in juvenile law.
Lisa is board certified in juvenile law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization - a designation held by only 65 attorneys in the state of Texas and three in Tarrant County.
Prior to going into private practice as a defense attorney, Herrick served as a prosecutor in the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office for eight years. While at the DA’s Office, she was assigned to the juvenile division, which handles cases involving youth under age 17. There, she developed a passion for juvenile law.
“I have handled every type of juvenile case you can think of, ranging from shoplifting to capital murder,” Herrick said. “Juvenile law is very different from adult criminal law. I have worked very hard to develop the skills and expertise necessary to be a proficient juvenile lawyer.
Herrick received her law degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law.
