Kathleen Walsh

 

Kathleen was born in 1952 to an Irish Chicago policeman father (who worked at 35th and Lowe - 9th District) and a Polish mother who was a former Catholic nun. She was raised near 53rd and Kildare (southside) with her four brothers, (one of whom was a Chicago cop and two Chicago firefighters). In 1972 at the age of 19, Kathleen was hired by two Lasalle Street  attorneys as their secretary/paralegal and her legal career began. She graduated  from DePaul University in 1982 with a B.S. degree, went on to Chicago Kent College of Law, and was sworn in as an attorney in 1988. She worked for another attorney on the northside from 1988 to 1997 when she decided to start her solo practice which continues to this day in the Bridgeport area. Because her father was a police officer in Bridgeport from 1958 to 1976, she loved hearing the heartwarming stories about Bridgeport and its special residents. She has lived in Bridgeport since 1982 and her brother Larry has resided in Bridgeport since 1976. She is married to Greg Michalski who owns the building which housed a long time Bridgeport business MICHALSKI BAKERY at 3236 South Racine. That is now Kathleen’s law office location.
