Stuart's practice is focussed on Employment Law. He advises clients with respect to issues such as employment policies and procedures, hiring, employment agreements, human rights issues, drug and alcohol policies, restrictive covenants, discipline and terminations. Stuart also represents clients before courts, mediators and tribunals. At every stage, Stuart advises and represents his clients in a manner designed to achieve practical, cost-effective solutions. Recently, Stuart represented the Human Resources Professionals of Ontario at the Supreme Court of Canada in a case that is widely-regarded as the most important employment law case of the last decade. Stuart speaks and writes extensively on employment law and litigation topics. He - responds to reader questions in the Ask an Expert column of Canadian Employment Law Today, - contributes regularly to the Canadian Human Resources Reporter, Globe and Mail, National Post, Law Times and Lawyers Weekly, and - speaks at programs put on by organizations including Osgoode Professional Development, the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario, the B.C.
