Nichole Opkins is Assistant General Counsel of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), an in-house counsel bar association with nearly 25,000 members around the world. Since joining ACC in 2005, Nichole has provided additional technological value to ACC’s Web site by creating and managing thousands of electronic legal resources that have been referenced in various business and legal publications for in-house counsel. In addition to providing legal resources, Nichole created ACC Top Ten in 2006. Originally created as a quick reference list for the web site, Top Ten soon became another legal resource for all members and rocketed to one of the most popular ACC-created resources. Prior to ACC, she served as Law Clerk for the District of Columbia Office of Bar Counsel. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar. Nichole is also a contributor to the ACC Docket and volunteers with Habitat of Humanity in DC and also teaches English as a Second Language. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband Dave Opkins.
