William Wilson practices in the areas of civil litigation, family law, copyright and trade secrets/unfair competition. He received his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 1991, and his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 1988. Bill is admitted to practice in Indiana, as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the Northern District of Illinois (including Trial Bar), the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and theSupreme Court of the United States. In May of 2004, Bill completed a forty-hour training program in family law mediation, and has therefore become a certified family law mediator. He also publishes the Indiana Family Law Blog, a web log dealing with a wide range of family law issues in Indiana. Bill is a member of the American (member, Family Law and Litigation Sections), Indiana State (member, Family Law section), and St. Joseph County Bar Associations (member, Board of Governors and co-chair, Mentoring and Lawyers Assistance Committee), as well as the Robert A. Grant Inn of Court. Bill is an adjunct assistant professor at the Department of Film, Television and Theatre at the University of Notre Dame, where he teaches Entertainment Law. In addition, Bill has appeared as a faculty member at continuing legal education programs, including 'The 103rd Congress and Civil Liberties,' 'Internet Basics for Indiana Attorneys,' and 'Internet Law in Indiana.' Bill is actively involved with the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana, where he served on the Board of Directors from 1992 until 2006, including two years as president of the corporation. Bill has also been active with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Joseph County. He and his wife, Catherine, attend Little Flower Catholic Church in South Bend. Bill has received a BV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
