About Irwin Silbowitz

Irwin Silbowitz founded Silbowitz, Garafola, Silbowitz, Schatz & Frederick, L.L.P. in 1987 alongside his partner, George Garafola. A skilled and experienced personal injury attorney, he has handled a broad range of personal injury and wrongful death matters for clients throughout the state of New York. From 1961 to 1973, Attorney Silbowitz was a State Supreme Court Special Referee and Deputy Chief of the law department for Manhattan and Bronx Counties. He became a Civil Court Judge in 1973 and, later, a State Supreme Court Justice in 1975. He held this position for 12 years before retiring from the bench. Following this, Attorney Silbowitz made it his mission to stand up for injured individuals and their family members, fighting for the compensation they were owed.
