David R. Carmichael

David Carmichael is a highly experience attorney in Polk County who focuses on cases involving constitutional criminal law. His expert level of knowledge in this area of law allows him to defend the rights of the criminally accused at the state and federal level, including death penalty litigation, post-conviction relief, and criminal appeals.

Mr. Carmichael received his bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida in 1990. He immediately went on to pursue his Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law, graduating in 1994. David is very involved in his community, serving on the Heartland for Children's Board of Directors, and as a Chairman of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. His is a member of the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association, Lakeland Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and is a member of the Wilson Inn Court.
