Suzanna Scarborough

Attorney Scarborough graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University, Magna Cum Laude. In 1992, she earned her Juris Doctor graduating from the University of Florida College of Law, Cum Laude, where she earned book awards in Legal Drafting and Tax Law.
In May of 1994, Attorney Scarborough began her career as an Assistant State Attorney for the 15thJudicial Circuit in West Palm Beach, Florida. During this time, she gained extensive courtroom and trial experience in misdemeanor trial divisions, felony trial divisions, and trained and mentored junior ASAs.
Attorney Scarborough then became the In-House Legal Counsel for the Palm Beach County Police Benevolent Association in West Palm Beach, Florida. Her responsibilities included representing union members through all stages of disciplinary proceedings, handling grievances on behalf of union members up through and including arbitration and negotiating for the union in the collective bargaining process.
In 2005, Attorney Scarborough went into solo criminal defense practice, successfully defending clients in both Palm Beach and Broward County misdemeanor and felony courts. Attorney Scarborough is dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence and she has worked, on a pro bono basis, with legal aid to represent victims in injunction hearings.
She is passionate about providing legal resources to the men and women in law enforcement who risk their lives every day. In addition to her new role at Rosenthal, Levy, Simon & Ryles, Attorney Scarborough will continue as Conflict Counsel for the Police Benevolent Association. In her free time, she performs volunteer work for Adopt a Family in Lake Worth where she teaches fourth and fifth graders about the law.
