Peter is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating from law school, he worked for the District Attorney's Office in the Bronx, primarily in the Appeals Unit. Now in private practice, Peter specializes in criminal and civil rights law, specializing in prisoner civil rights issues. A perennial judge of the American Bar Association Moot Court Competition, Peter has been published in the New York Law Journal and has been the featured guest on The Fancy Broccoli Show at WVKR 91.3 FM, in Poughkeepsie New York, On the Count: The Prison & Criminal Justice Report, with Eddie Ellis and Ayo Harrington at WBAI 99.5 FM, in New York City, and Voices from the Prison Action Network on WRPI 91.5 FM in Troy, New York. He also enjoys playing recreational volleyball and occasionally organizes a coed, touch football game in Central Park.
