Mark Sollitt became licensed to practice law by the State Bar of California in 1994. Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Sollitt was a highly regarded math teacher in the Fremont Unified School District.

He attended the Humphreys College of Law at Stockton, California, where he received his Juris Doctor in 1994. 

In 2004, he received recognition as a DUI Specialist with the California DUI Lawyer's Association. He is the only DUI Specialist in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado, Solano, Yolo County, and San Joaquin Counties — also known as the North Central Valley.

He has been an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and a member of the California DUI Lawyers Association since 1994. He is also an Associate Member of the California Public Defenders Association since 1994 and a member of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice since 2003.

Mr. Sollitt is a contributing editor to California Drunk Driving Law (James Publishing) and California Criminal Law Procedure and Practice (CEB).
