Howard Liker

Howard Liker, Esq. is a life-long resident of the Bronx. He is a litigator in the private practice of law, serving also as a member of the 18b Appellate Division, First Department Family Court Panel. He sits as a Small Claims Court Arbitrator, teaches law and related courses as an Adjunct at Mercy College and is Chairperson Emeritus for the Institute for Mediation and Conflict Resolution (IMCR).

In the past, Howard Liker has worked for the New York State Courts as a Court Attorney for Judges. He was an Executive Board member of the City-Wide Association of Law Assistants (CALA). Howard was a Staff Attorney for the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Division. He has also served as a U.S. Congressional Aide for Congress and as the Majority Whip Counsel of the N.Y.S. Assembly.

Howard Liker graduated from Pace Law School and Herbert Lehman College of the City University of New York. He attended local schools, both Brooklyn Technical High School and Christopher Columbus High School. At Lehman College, Howard was the Director of the Lehman College Law Center and the Community Affairs Officer of Student Government.
