Christiane Cargill-Kinney

Christiane Cargill joined Wright, Robinson as an associate in 1999. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, gaining extensive courtroom experience. Within her first three years of practice at Wright Robinson, Christiane successfully briefed and argued an issue of first impression in the Ninth Circuit, resulting in a published opinion which has garnered attention in six law review articles and five maritime treatises. She also had the notable distinction of receiving her United States Supreme Court certificate before the age of 30. Christiane practices civil litigation defense in state and federal court. She has prepared cases in the areas of employment litigation (including wrongful termination, whistleblower actions, and harassment and discrimination of all forms), maritime law, products liability, commercial contract disputes, construction defect, premises liability, personal injury / wrongful death, insurance bad faith, emotional distress, psychiatric injury and fraud, among others. She has also drafted many successful dispositive motions and appellate briefs. In 2005, Christiane was featured in Glamour Magazine’s Woman of the Year issue as the first recipient of the Toyota Moving Forward Awards for her ability to balance her legal career with charitable endeavors in the arts. She will also be included in the upcoming 2006/2007 Metropolitan Who’s Who Among Executive and Professional Women Honors Edition.
