Steve Ngo

Steve Ngo is an Associate with Minami Tamaki LLP in its San Francisco office. He was admitted to the California Bar in 2004 and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts in the Northern and Eastern Districts of California. Mr. Ngo is a civil litigator with an emphasis in personal injury and other tort cases, representing clients in state and federal courts, as well as in mediation and arbitration proceedings. He has successfully handled a variety of cases for the firm, including those involving corporate negligence, wrongful death, vehicular accidents, catastrophic injury, and government liability. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ngo practiced political law. He advised and represented lobbyists, candidates, non-profit organizations, and ballot measure committees. He had earlier served as a law clerk in the Summer Honors Program of the California Attorney General's Antitrust Division, working on the Energy Task Force, a group especially formed by the Attorney General to investigate allegations of market abuse and manipulation by certain energy producers during the early 2000s. Mr. Ngo worked as a voting rights organizer and held various positions in government before becoming an attorney. He was a recipient of the Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellowship, one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious legislative fellowship programs awarded to individuals based on academic achievement, political awareness, and leadership potential. During his fellowship, he served as a consultant on the California State Assembly Budget Committee, advising legislators on $3.1 billion worth of spending proposals for programs in such areas as consumer protection, trade and commerce, and campaign finance regulation. Mr. Ngo received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University. In 2004, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he served as the president of the student body and earned numerous leadership awards from alumni and peer organizations. Local media, including the San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, and KTVU (Fox) News, also highlighted some of his advocacy efforts.
