David Glicken

David Scott Glicken began his legal career in December, 1981 with the Ninth Judicial Circuit Office of the State Attorney in the Criminal Intake Division, responsible for handling all Bond Hearings, Civil Forfeitures, and Municipal Bond Validations. In 1982, Mr. Glicken appeared for the first time before the Florida Supreme Court and successfully argued a case appealed directly from the Circuit Court. As an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Glicken rapidly advanced from the Criminal Intake Division and within six [6] months became the second Assistant State Attorney (and youngest) to be named as Legal Advisor to the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI), a multi-law enforcement agency responsible for prosecuting organized crime, wiretap, electronic surveillance, prostitution, adult entertainment, RICO, pornography, obscenity, and drug possession/trafficking cases.

In 1984, Mr. Glicken entered private practice and The Glicken Law Firm was established in 1986. Mr. Glicken’s thirty [30]  years of experience have enabled him to represent his clients in a time-efficient and cost-effective manner. Mr. Glicken has represented clients in various State and Federal criminal matters, both Felony and Misdemeanor criminal cases, including multiple First Degree Death Penalty Murder Cases, State drug trafficking cases, Federal Drug Trafficking and Counterfeiting Currency cases, DUI’s & DUI Manslaughter, assault & battery, obscenity and pornography cases, wiretap and electronic surveillance, prostitution and adult entertainment, sexting defense criminal cases, computer sex crimes, and prescription fraud. An experienced litigator, Mr. Glicken has also obtained civil jury verdicts in excess of one million dollars.

Mr. Glicken is a Florida native and a long-time resident of Orlando since 1970. After having graduated from Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, he attended  Florida State University where he received two [2] Bachelor of Science Degrees in four [4] years (B.S. - Political Science and B.S. - Criminal Justice). Mr. Glicken then attended and graduated from Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, with a Juris Doctorate Degree (J.D.) in two [2] years. Upon receiving his J.D., David returned to the Orlando area to practice law and has been doing so for more than thirty [30] years.

A strong believer in the philosophy of “giving back” to the community, Mr. Glicken currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Florida State University Torchbearer’s Board and has served on the Board of Directors for the Central Florida Catholic Youth League seven [7] years. Mr. Glicken is currently serving his second consecutive term as President of the Catholic Youth League of Central Florida, an organization serving the needs of more than one thousand [1,000] student-athletes each year. David is active in various other non-profit entities and he volunteers more than 1,200 hours of his time to these non-profit organizations.
