Attorney Martricia O'Donnell McLaughlin has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar since 1979. She and Attorney Robert Glazer have operated a general practice of law servicing client needs in the areas of Family Law, Bankruptcy, Wills and Estates, Guardianship Issues, Civil Litigation and Criminal Defense since 1979. In 1992, Ms. McLaughlin joined the Northampton County District Attorney's staff as a part-time District Attorney. In approximately 1998, she became the director of the Women Against Violence Grant for the District Attorney and became thh domestic violence prosecutor also handling child and adult sexual assault cases.
In 2006, Ms. McLaughlin was appointed as a part-time assistant County Solicitor for Northampton County. In this capacity, she negotiates and reviews county sontracts and supervises the legal issues confronting several county offices. In addition, she handles litigation for the county.
In the late 1990's, Ms. Mclaughlin became interested in Mediation and studied with the American Friends Service Committee to gain the credentials to conduct mediation under the auspices of Lehigh valey Mediation Services. Beginning in approximately 2010, Ms. McLaughlin enhanced her study of alternative dispute resolution. She became certified as a collborative lawyer for family law. Attorney Mclaughlin also gained a Life Coach certification. Ms. McLaughlin renewed her mediation studies and skills in both family law and elder law. She trained with Zena Zumeta, J.D., a highly recognised mediator and trainer in the area of elder mediation. Ms. Mclaughlin has also obtained certification as a Parent Coordinator. Ms. McLaughlin practices family and elder mediation, parent coordination and conflisct coaching through Beacon Conflict Resolution Services. www.BeaconResolution.com .
