California Business And Professions Code Section 1945

On July 1, 2009, a percentage of the funds in the State Dental Auxiliary Fund shall be transferred to the State Dental Hygiene Fund based on the number of registered dental hygienists, registered hygienists in alternative practice, and registered dental hygienists in extended functions licensed on June 30, 2009, compared to all dental auxiliaries licensed by the Committee on Dental Auxiliaries on June 30, 2009. The board`s authority to expend those funds, as appropriated in the 2008 Budget Act, shall be vested in the committee to carry out the provisions of this chapter as they relate to dental hygienists for the 2008 -09 fiscal year, including the payment of any encumbrances related to dental hygienists, dental hygienists in alternative practice, and dental hygienists in extended functions incurred by the State Dental Auxiliary Fund. The remainder of the funds in the State Dental Auxiliary Fund shall be transferred to the State Dental Assistant Fund pursuant to Section 1721.5.
