Forced to take immunizations (against my beliefs) to complete CNA adult school course
Last updated on: February 14, 2020
A adult school here in San Diego is saying that I cannot complete their class there unless I provide proof of vaccinations. It is a CNA class and they say the nursing facility where I will do the clinical portion of training will not allow me to be there without proof of immunizations. In their catalog, they call this clinical training which they, the school, oversees. Can they force me to take immunizations when it is against my beliefs? I am not an employee of the nursing facility just training there. Can someone help me with this? The director of the program just wrote me a letter by email which I can forward to you stating that I have to provide the facility proof of current immunizations and if I don't, I cannot complete what is necessary to get my CNA license.
