Upon death of non-custodial parent who died intestate, should child support and health insurance continue to be paid to his minor child by the estate?
Last updated on: February 14, 2020
If the minor child now also receives social security death benefits, does that count toward the child support? Non-custodial parent was divorced from custodial parent and died intestate. His minor child is receiving social security death benefits which exceed child support and health insurance obligations from the divorce. Do the social security benefits offset the requirement for the estate to pay child support and health insurance benefits?
