Sol McLafferty

  During the last year of college I completed a six month internship with ASC/JA legal office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. During my time at Wright-Patterson I was assigned to the Federal Magistrate Court where I researched statutes, drafted Complaints, Motions and Supersedings. I was also responsible for drafting various legal letters and memos

  

After graduation I volunteered at the Office of the Public Defender assisting with intake interviews. This experience provided me the opportunity to gain valuable skills in dealing with difficult clients who may be hostile to the legal system as well as those who may need extra assistance in understanding the complexities of the legal system.

 

Currently I am working part-time with Morse Legal Services in Fairborn Ohio. My primary duties there are assisting with the preparation of bankruptcies. These duties include entering data into the Best Case Bankruptcy software, preparing notices of bankruptcies for any pending or past law suits the clients may have, and preparing the trustee letters for the local and United States trustees.
