Eugene Hooser

This is the first novel authored by Mr. Hooser, a former Judge Pro Tem for 17 years out of 22 years as a trial lawyer. He received his law degree in 1978 from Western State College of Law. He served 31 months in the U.S. Army and completed two tours in Vietnam, recipient of the Bronze Star and honorably discharged on October 29, 1969. He is the proud father of two adult daughters, Danielle and Lauren. After resigning from the California State Bar in 2001, he has been a mediator, underwriter and now an author. Behind the Black Robe is in many ways a reflection of his life as an attorney and in real life. Currently, Mr. Hooser manages a law firm, primarily its civil litigation department. A second novel authored by Mr. Hooser, titled, “The Price of Ambition” will be published soon.
