Wendy Mara graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stetson University in 1993 with a degree in English. While there, Ms. Mara was selected to be a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After graduation, Ms. Mara taught language arts in high school for 13 years. While teaching full time, Ms. Mara earned her MBA from the University of Central Florida in 2006. Shortly thereafter, Ms. Mara attended Florida Coastal School of Law (“FCSL”) and graduated in 2009. While at FCSL, Ms. Mara was a teacher’s assistant, research assistant, and award winning oralist for Jessup International Moot Court Competition. In addition, Ms. Mara was awarded various recognitions such as Dean’s List, Certificate for Pro Bono Work, Certificate for Oral Advocacy, and Certificate for Advanced Legal Writing and Research.

Ms. Mara is involved in many organizations. She is a Graduate of Ormond Leadership VII and is currently serving on the Leadership Committee with the Ormond Chamber of Commerce.  She is also the Treasurer of the Volusia Flagler Association of Women’s Lawyers (“VFAWL”), VFAWL representative for the Domestic Violence Advisory Committee, a Director of the Volusia County Bar Association, a member of the Board of PACE Center for Girls Volusia Flagler, and a member of the Dunn-Blount Inns of Court.

Ms. Mara has five children and resides in Ormond Beach with her husband and law partner, Robert, her daughter, Felicia, and her 1 year old son, Robbie.
