I have been practicing law since 1992. I have been a criminal law practitioner primarily, although I have handled personal injury, probate and employment matters that were worthy. Primarily, however, I have been a criminal law trial and appellate attorney.
I am board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1998. I have handled jury trial that run the gamut from my son's traffic ticket to several murder and capital murder trials, and everything in between. I have tried cases to juries in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, McAllen, El Paso, Pecos and Lubbock, in state and federal court. I have had jury trial out of state as well, New Mexico and Missouri come to mind.
I have handled numerous appeals in both state appellate courts and in the Fifth and Eighth Circuit Courts of Appeals.
I am licensed by the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of New Mexico and by the U.S. District Courts for the Western District of Texas, the Southern District of Texas, the Northern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court of New Mexico and the Fifth and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
I am a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center in 1992. I have a bacherlor's degree in Political Science.
