J. Phillip Boston
Law Office of J. Phillip Boston
I started my law firm in 1989, with the overwhelming portion of my practice relating to the representation of individuals who have been injured, and the Estates of those who have been fatally injured, due to the negligence of others (wrongful death). After graduating from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1984, I was selected for a two-year judicial clerkship (staff attorney for four Superior Court judges). I was employed with the insurance defense law firm of Irwin, Bladen, Baker & Russell, in Atlanta. My position involved the defense of clients accused of negligence, including automobile and tractor-trailer collisions, wrongful death, premises liability claims, slander, and false arrest.
I practiced in metro Atlanta until 2000. My office has been located in Athens since 2000. I regularly represent clients throughout north and middle Georgia, including the Athens/Atlanta area. Potential clients and clients are not required to travel to Athens for meetings, depositions, etc. Free thorough initial telephone, office, and home consultations are provided.
Personal attention to each client is critical to me. I am focused on returning my clients’ phone calls and e-mails promptly, and keeping them regularly advised of their case. Clients only communicate with me, not staff. I provide my cell phone number to clients for emergencies.
My promise is to thoroughly work a case. All claims are handled as though they will eventually result in a lawsuit and trial. While the majority of claims do not require a trial, preparing them as though they will regularly results in a good result for the client.
