Christy Thompson

Christy Thompson works as an Attorney with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, at the Federal Correctional Complex in Butner, North Carolina. She serves as a legal advisor to BOP staff, and represents the government and staff in cases filed by inmates. Her work involves correctional litigation, including constitutional issues, tort claims, and habeas petitions. Prior to joining the Bureau of Prisons, Christy seved as a law clerk to Judge Barbara Jackson on the north Carolina Court of Appeals. There she drafted many opinions on a wide range of North Carolina legal issues.
