Stephen Chance

Stephen R. Chance was born in Augusta, Georgia on February 20, 1968. Stephen graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1989. Upon graduation, he worked for his father, Kenneth R. Chance, who was a sole practitioner in Augusta, Georgia. Stephen then began pursuit of his M.B.A. and J.D. at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Stephen also served as Co-Editor of Legislation for the Georgia State University Law Review. Stephen graduated from Georgia State in 1995 with a M.B.A. and a J.D., magna cum laude. Stephen began working for a medium-sized defense firm as a summer associate in May of 1994 and continued with that firm until July 1999. Stephen concentrated on the defense of doctors and hospitals in professional negligence cases and other health care matters.
In August of 1999, Stephen joined Watkins, Lourie & Roll, LLP, where he concentrates on plaintiff's medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and motor vehicle accident cases. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American and Atlanta Bar Associations, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Stephen has also served as a member of the Advisory Committee on Legislation of the State Bar of Georgia and has lectured on medical malpractice issues at Continuing Legal Education seminars.
