Robert Larin has been practicing law since 1965. He is a former Federal Prosecutor and was with the Oakland County Prosecutor's Office. He has written and lectured extensively on drunk driving.

In 1976, Robert Larin, the firm's senior partner, began the specialization of Drunk Driving Defense with the publication of the article "The Aggressive Defense in Michigan Drunk Driving Cases" in the Detroit Lawyer. He is the Co-author of all four editions of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education's series on Drunk Driving Defense in Michigan. He continues to be heralded as a leading specialist in the defense of the drinking driver in Michigan. He has been honored as a "Best Lawyer in America" in 2008, 2009 and 2010. He carries a peer review rating of the "Highest Rating in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards".
