Jean Faure

Jean represents employers, management and businesses in connection with all employment-related issues. The firm litigates wrongful termination, discrimination, and ERISA claims and Jean appears in both administrative and court hearings on unemployment benefit, wage and hour, and discrimination claims. She has handled labor contract negotiations, labor grievance arbitrations, and other issues under the NLRA. Jean has tried numerous jury and bench trials in front of the Montana Federal and State district courts, administrative agencies, and arbitrators. ®
Jean received a B.A. (summa cum laude) in English from Carroll College in 1981. Jean went on to earn a M.A. (magna cum laude) from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Jean returned to Montana to receive her J.D., with high honors, from the University of Montana School of Law in 1986.
Following law school, Jean clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in San Francisco, California and for the Honorable Judge David R. Thompson in San Diego before returning to Great Falls, Montana in 1988. She has practiced throughout the state of Montana since then. In May, 2006, Jean formed the firm of Faure Holden Attorneys at Law, P.C. in Great Falls (with satellite offices in Bozeman and Helena).
Jean was named to the 2009 Mountain States Super Lawyersin labor and employment law and employment defense litigation. She currently is the Board Secretary/Treasurer for the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers and serves on the Montana Law Review Advisory Committee. Jean also serves on the Commission on Practice, by election of her peers and appointment by the Montana Supreme Court. Jean has been on the Program Faculty for the Montana Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). She has presented a number of seminars, including the State Bar Employment Law seminar and the Society for Human Resource Management.
