Before starting Solace Estate Planning, Ben Turshen spent nearly a decade as an asset management attorney at elite international law firms in New York City and Cleveland, Ohio, where he advised institutional investors and asset managers, such as Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, Invesco, The Riverside Company, Edgewater Capital Partners, GIC, and The Cleveland Clinic, with respect to investments in, and the formation and operation of, U.S. and non-U.S. investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, infrastructure funds, secondaries, funds-of-funds, and funds-of-one, mutual funds, exchange traded funds, and unit investment trusts, with combined investment holdings exceeding $60 Billion. Throughout his legal career, Ben has been committed to social responsibility by devoting a substantial amount of his time to pro bono legal work, including representing various nonprofit organizations. 

Ben is also the creator of Access Meditation and has over two decades of experience in health and wellness, working with Olympians and professional athletes, Michelin star chefs, Grammy-winning musicians, A-list actors, and Fortune 500 executives, as well as children as young as four years old.

Ben received his B.S., magna cum laude, from Boston University and then went on to receive his M.A. from Columbia University, before earning his J.D. from St. John’s School of Law. Born and raised in New York City, Ben now calls Shaker Heights, Ohio home along with his wife, Kaitlin, his daughter, Remy, son, Louis, and their two rescue huskies, Cato and Duro.
