   Angela Faye Brown is the managing partner of Angela Faye Brown & Associates, PLLC, a family law firm with offices in Austin and Houston, serving Texans statewide. With nearly 15 years of experience, Angela has dedicated her career to protecting families during some of the most challenging times of their lives. Whether through mediation, child support hearings, or visitation enforcement, Angela’s goal is to provide clarity and peace of mind for parents navigating the complexities of family law.

Angela’s approach to advocacy is shaped by her diverse background and early career experiences. Raised in a large military family that moved across the globe, she learned firsthand the importance of stability and connection. Her professional journey began at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA), where she represented survivors of domestic violence in cases involving custody, visitation, and protective orders. She also spent years working with homeless teenagers at Austin’s Lifeworks shelters, an experience that deepened her commitment to supporting families and safeguarding children.

As a Black, queer woman from Mississippi, Angela brings a unique and deeply personal perspective to her work. These aspects of her identity fuel her passion for justice and her understanding of the diverse challenges families face. Angela is committed to advocating for families of all backgrounds, providing inclusive, compassionate representation that helps them find peace and stability.

At Angela Faye Brown & Associates, Angela focuses on creating lasting solutions that prioritize the well-being of children and families. From pro se family mediation that empowers parents to resolve disputes outside of court to visitation enforcement, child support hearings, and premarital agreements, her work is guided by a passion for helping families thrive. Angela believes that premarital agreements lay a strong foundation for marriage, fostering trust and clarity while ensuring long-term stability for both partners.

Originally from Vicksburg, Mississippi, Angela holds a deep connection to the town, often visiting to spend time with family and attend football games at Alcorn State University, her parents’ alma mater. Practically raised on “the reservation,” as Alcorn’s campus is affectionately known, Angela carries fond memories of the vibrant community that shaped her upbringing. She also cherishes regular visits to Houston, where her parents now reside, and to New Orleans, where her sister lives.

Angela lives with her wife, two young daughters (ages 7 and 3), two cats, and two playful dogs—a Bernese Mountain Dog and a lovable mutt. When she’s not working, Angela enjoys fishing for crappie in Louisiana with her father, attending hot air balloon festivals, and parading with friends. She’s also a devoted fan of Texas football and basketball, rarely missing the chance to cheer on her favorite teams.

Angela’s mission is to revolutionize family law, providing heartfelt advocacy and genuine solutions that allow families to move forward with confidence and stability. Through her work, she aims to create a legacy of compassion, clarity, and meaningful change for parents and children across Texas.
