Mr. Conley is an experienced counselor and litigator, representing clients in a full range of employment law matters. His experience includes litigation in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and state and local fair employment practices agencies. As a litigator, Mr. Conley has represented clients in employment litigation involving claims of discrimination based on race, national origin, gender, pregnancy, age, disability and family medical leave. Mr. Conley also has substantial experience litigating cases involving claims of harassment and retaliation arising out of federal and state anti-discrimination and whistleblower laws. Mr. Conley is an expert in employment contracts, non-compete agreements, and trade secret matters. He has written and spoken extensively about electronic discovery and trade secret protection, as well as litigating numerous trade secret and non-compete cases. Mr. Conley also counsels and advises clients on employment practices. He has counseled clients on the design and implementation of employee handbooks and personnel polices, and has authored and presented training on numerous and varied employment topics. Prior to establishing The Conley Firm, Mr. Conley practiced employment law for more than four years in the Philadelphia offices of Littler Mendelson, the preeminent employment law firm in the United States. Prior to Littler, Mr. Conley worked for the general commercial litigation firm of Miller, Alfano & Raspanti, and spent two years as an Assistant City Solicitor in the City of Philadelphia's Labor & Employment Unit. He also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Phyllis W. Beck of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and for the Honorable Franklin S. Van Antwerpen (at the District Court level, before he was appointed to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals). Mr. Conley received his law degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, where he was the Notes & Comment Editor of the Temple International and Comparative Law Review. He was also selected to the Moot Court Honor Society. Mr. Conley received his Bachelor of Science degree in international relations from Middle Tennessee State University. With work experience including jobs as a newspaper photographer, assistant director of a community action agency, typesetter, and bookstore sales clerk, Mr. Conley has real world knowledge of the employment issues faced by today’s workers.
