I am a practicing Chemist Expert Consultant with a focus on chain of custody and testing issues, as they apply to controlled drugs covered under the Controlled Substances Act..  A proprietary approach has been developed and used that circumvents the need of testing controlled drugs -- with the special emphasis of case resolution before going to trial.  Pre-trial and trial litigation support services are available to practicing attorneys and law firms.  Pre-trial services include a Case Screening Service (designed for assessing drug challenge viability), a Weighing Service (for reconstructive analysis of tested alleged controlled drugs and minimal sentencing guidelines), case development strategy, and pre-trial consultations.  Trial services include chemist expert testimony, depositions and general chemist expert support.  Consulting has included cases involving simple drug possession, national drug conspiracies, clandestine laboratory synthesis, and international manufacturing and distribution.  Presentations regarding my practice have been given at the American Chemical Society, national meeting (San Francisco CA, Sept. 2006), Chemistry and theLaw Division; Trial Lawyers Association of Washington DC (Superior Court of the District of Columbia, Feb. 2009).

I have professional experiences as a chemist instructor in Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry (Howard University); a research chemist in electrochemistry and colloid physics (National Institutes of Health, Bethesda Md, at the former National Institute of Arthritis and Metabolic Diseases); forensic chemist for the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), U.S. Dept. of Justice.

I hold a professional chemist BS degree from Howard University; a MS degree in the field of organic/biochemistry, enzyme kinetics, from Howard University; a PhM degree in organic chemistry, synthesis and reactions of pyrrole compounds (building blocks of physiologically active drugs), from George Washington University.
