Avery Austin, III is a third-generation military officer of the US Army, having followed in the footsteps of his father and grandfather of the same name. His travels as an Army brat allowed him to appreciate the beauty, culture and customs of people from amazing places all over the world, which is a passion he enjoys to this day!
After returning to the United States to finish high school, he attended The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, where he graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science – Business Administration. He would go on to pursue his passion for a career in law, attending Texas Tech University School of Law and graduating with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2002.
After graduation, Avery went to serve his country in active duty with the United States Army in 2003. During his service, Avery completed the Captain’s Career Course and was subsequently promoted to lead hundreds of men in combat in over 125 successful missions as Battle Captain for 10th Combat Aviation Brigade during his multiple tours in Afghanistan.
He retired from active duty in 2010, when he went to work for the Defense Intelligence Agency in Washington D.C., providing logistical support for missions in 152 countries, and full spectrum support to over 350 Army attachés.
His vast experience in the intelligence community, computers and military operations, led him to pursue a post-military career in information technology, providing overall Program Management and Support during his tenure with some of the country’s top IT consulting firms, including Oracle, Accenture and Infor.
His passion for helping others has been Avery’s biggest reward, always providing assistance to individuals and families with legal representation for many of life’s most critical and important challenges.
Avery is a member of the State Bar of Texas and earned recognition as a Certified Family and Business Law Mediator from Lakewood College, and Certified Forensic Consultant, CFC from the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute, and VA Accredited Attorney from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Inspector General.
