During my career, I have handled matters involving employment law, labor relations, litigation and insurance.

In the area of employment law, I have assisted clients with the creation, implementation and enforcement of policies and practices. I have drafted employment agreements; covenants not-to-compete; covenants not-to-solicit; offer letters; sexual harassment policies; policies against discrimination, harassment, and abusive behavior; and, electronic communication policies. I have directed a client through the turbulent waters of an OFCCP audit. I have created Affirmative Action Programs for federal contractors. I have also published numerous articles relative to changes in the law, including writings on the revised Family Medical Leave Act, information security plans, religious discrimination, workplace harassment and OFCCP compliance.

I have arbitrated numerous labor grievances and defended unfair labor practice charges. I have analyzed, interpreted and counseled clients regarding the terms of their collective bargaining agreements. I have briefed and argued issues involving jurisdiction, arbitrability and contract interpretation.

I have also litigated hundreds of cases in both the state and federal courts. I have argued and won several cases before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and has several reported decisions, including:

• Fox v. Lumber Ins. Co., 2003 WL 21077041 (Mass. App. Ct.)
• Cremaldi-Vickery v. Otis Elevator, Inc., 2003 WL 168452 (Mass. App. Ct.);
• Cote v. Levine, 52 Mass. App. Ct. 435 (2001); and
• Lumber Mut. Ins. Co. v. Zoltek Corp., 419 Mass. 704 (1995).

Over my career, I have also assisted clients with the analysis and interpretation of insurance policies. I have advised clients about appropriate insurance coverage. I have negotiated residential and commercial leases, construction contracts, employee benefits contracts and security agreements.
