Daniel W. Packard

Dan was raised in a big family in a small town in southeast Texas. When he was younger, his mother gave him permission to miss school so he could hear his father present evidence before juries. Dan was fascinated by the courtroom drama every time he saw his father at work, but what really struck him was the effect these cases had on regular people in their daily lives.

Dan loved playing basketball and singing in a garage band in high school. Dan reserved his best work for the debate team though. He finally received a debate scholarship to college after winning debate championships. Dan attended law school after graduating from college and received academic accolades. His true love in law school, though, was moot court, where he became the program's first-ever regional champion. Dan met his lovely and intelligent classmate Alison McBride while they were both attending law school, and she later became his lifelong love. Together, Dan and Alison attended law school, got hitched in the middle of their second year, and graduated on the same day.
