Richard Eichenbaum
Live Oak Law Group LLC
Rich is a Bay Area native and grew up in the South Bay. He graduated from UC Berkeley in 1987 with a BA in English Literature and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Santa Clara University in 1991. During his undergraduate and law school years Rich worked for the Law Libraries at both universities, and also as a private investigator for attorneys, insurance companies, and private clients.
After passing the Bar Exam, Rich worked for a small firm handling a variety of cases in the areas of Personal Injury, Insurance Defense, Construction Defect, and Business Litigation. For most of his 23 year career he has worked for insurance companies defending people and businesses that were sued in personal injury cases.
He has handled a variety of Personal Injury Matters including: Big Rig Accidents, Burn Cases, Products Liability, Automobile/Motorcycle Accidents, Assault and Battery, Habitability Cases, and Trip/Slip and Falls, just to name a few. Prior to joining the firm he spent 10 years as a Supervising Trial Attorney/Senior Trial Attorney for a major insurance company where he taught trial skills to other attorneys, handled jury trials to verdict, and represented clients in hundreds of mediations and arbitrations.
Rich decided to leave the insurance defense side and transition to representing seriously injured people after seeing a need for well-trained, aggressive, trial attorneys that can help people with serious injuries obtain the compensation they deserve.
Rich is actively involved volunteering his time in the community as a supporter of Autism Tree Foundation, a Member of the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Advisory Board, an Instructor for high school students at the Mock Trial Institute, and a past Judge Pro Tem for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County.
