Karen received a B. A. degree in Legal Administration from The University of West Florida in 1994. She earned the Certified Paralegal (CP) designation in 1997 and the Advanced Paralegal Certification (APC) in Probate, Estate Planning and Fiduciary Tax in 2000.
In 2002 she was asked to speak on The Relevant Provisions of The 2001 Tax Act Related to Estate Planning as a Guest Speaker at the National Association of Legal Assistants National Convention in Savannah, Georgia.
In 2006, she provided two informative lectures: Administering the Estate or Trust - The Rules and Accountings for Estates and Trusts for Lorman Education Services seminar attendees.
Her writing credits include articles for legal publications such as Legal Assistant Today, NJ Paralegal Press, Facts & Findings (NALA) and ActionLine (RPPTL).
