Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity

Since 2001, I have been the Executive Director and General Counsel of Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity. Before 2001, I practiced with Fulbright and Jaworksi, LLP, and Doolin and Wheat LLP in Dallas, Texas. My practice was largely limited to commercial litigation. From 1988 to 1990, I clerked for the Honorable Sam D. Johnson, Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Founded in 1869, Phi Delta Phi's mission is simple: to promote ethics and civility in the law schools and the legal profession at large. Phi Delta Phi has chapters (called 'Inns' after the English Inns of Court) in law schools throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Germany, and Poland. More prominent jurists, law professors, presidents, senators and outstanding lawyers have come from the ranks of Phi Delta Phi than any other legal fraternity. By way of example, from 2000 to 2003, the Chief Justices of the United States, Canada and Mexico were all Phi Delta Phis.
