After earning his J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1977, Mr. Risher went on to join the U.S. Navy. He served on active duty with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps until 1994, when he retired with the rank of Commander. After completing his service in the Navy, Mr. Risher entered private practice and is a partner at Joye, Nappier, Risher, & Hardin. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina, before the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, and before the Federal District Court.
