Chuck specializes in corporate and commercial law with particular expertise in income tax, estate planning and income tax appeal matters. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1980, and has practiced in this field since 1980. From 1991 to 1992 he was Tax Counsel with the Tax Litigation Section, Department of Justice, in Ottawa. He has been a Group Instructor in the Income Tax Section of the Ontario Bar Admission Course; has taught personal and corporate income tax in the Commerce program at Carleton University, and at the University of Ottawa Law School; he has also taught Advanced Taxation (Corporate) at Queen’s University Law School in Kingston. Chuck is a regular contributor to The Canadian Taxpayer, and writes for many other publications. He is called upon frequently to speak to members of the financial planning and insurance industries. He is a member of several tax related professional organizations, including the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, and is a past president of The Ottawa Estate Planning Council. Mr. Rotenberg is on the board and professional advisory councils of several community organizations.
