Attorney Faith E. Alvarez is an associate at Lee, Cossell & Crowley, LLP. She is admitted to practice in Indiana and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. Her practice is focused on federal litigation, civil rights, discrimination, wrongful death, personal injury, and civil appeals. Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Alvarez served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the Special Victims Unit of the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office. Attorney Alvarez served a two-year term as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. Attorney Alvarez also served three years as a Federal Judicial Extern in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

Attorney Alvarez is currently the Chair of the Latino Affairs Committee for the Indiana State Bar Association and she chairs the planning committee for the state bar’s annual Hispanic Heritage Month program. She is a member of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, and the Indianapolis Bar Association. Attorney Alvarez completed the U.S. Attorney’s Office Women’s Leadership Initiative, volunteers with the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program, and volunteers with the Indiana Bar Foundation. She is also the precinct committeeperson for Lawrence’s 49th precinct.

Attorney Alvarez received her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law and her B.S. from Bethel College. In law school, Attorney Alvarez was selected for the Honors Program and participated in Law Review. She was a teaching assistant for legal writing and a research assistant for entertainment and media law. She was the marketing director for the Valpo Law Blog and authored weekly articles. She was the president of the Property Law Society, a member of the Women Law Students Association, and a member of the Bohemian Lawyers Association of Chicago. Before attending law school, Attorney Alvarez ran her own business, offering services as a licensed title producer, translator, and notary public.

In her free time, Attorney Alvarez spends time with her husband and their four children.
